I also found it a bit sad, so did not feel like playing for too long. Has a very magic feel to it. However, I do feel as if there is something missing, but perhaps more comes together if I get close to getting all discoveries (have not completed the 4th act yet).
I do not normally like static image games (ala myst, scratches, etc) but I quite liked this system of moving around. I guess is has alot to do with the surreal sensation of the game though.
