Hello everyone, I'm Marek.

I love interactivity as a medium, and I've made some games, but I don't really feel like they're the direction that I want to go in. I have had a few ideas for more avant garde interactive works, and I don't know if they're games or art games or not games, but it seems to me like the differences between those categories are largely trivial. Anyway, I like the discussion that's going on here!

Welcome to the forum, Marek.

I hope this can be an inspiring place for you. Feel free to share your ideas for future concepts, and even the reasons why you're not exactly happen with your former work.

Categories are not important. Notgames is not a category. It's an idea, an exercise: to make interactive entertainment/art by explicitly rejecting typical game elements such as goals, rewards, challenges, competition, etc. Because we think the formal structure of a game in its strict sense, is limiting the potential of the medium that videogames offer us. We want to explore that potential and expand what can be done with videogames technology beyond games-as-rules and games-for-fun.

Welcome Marek. I've been looking around your website, and am curious to play some of your games when I get the chance. Also cool to see you involved with Glorious Trainwreks.
